Heath Franklin’s character Chopper has become a fan favourite in New Zealand. The Australian comic has been touring Aotearoa’s shores since 2009. After a three-year break, he returns with a new show. The provocatively named ‘Not Here to F*ck Spiders’ tour is a reference to the world being on pause over the past few years. It’s time to dive back in. Chopper thinks life happens whether you like it or not. “You can tiptoe around it, have a whinge, or pretend it’s not there, but like a man wearing bacon pants at a dog park, you’re gonna get bitten on the arse eventually.”
Chopper has been nominated for two Arias, a Logie, won Comic’s Choice at the Melbourne Comedy Fest and sold more than half a million tickets worldwide. Don’t miss him when he hits Wellington in May.
