Pulse 2024 ANZ Premiership netball season

This season two new coaches and three newcomers will add value to the former ANZ Premiership champions.

Joining the 2024 roster is talented Australia defender Kelea Iongi. Exciting young midcourter Parris Petera and young shooting talent Khiarna Williams are also on the squad.

At the helm are new head coach Anna Andrews-Tasola and new assistant coach Kim Howard.

Anna was Pulse assistant coach for the past two seasons, and specialist shooting coach for 2020 and 2021. Born and raised in Porirua, Kim is a former Kapi Mana netball representative. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her 11-year stint in Australia.

Player-wise, exciting young shooting talent Khiarna joins incumbents Tiana Metuarau and Amelia Walmsley at the shooting end. The unchanged midcourt features trio Whitney Souness, Maddy Gordon, and Fa’amu Ioane. Rangy defenders Kelly Jury and Parris Mason back up in the defensive third.

Pulse play six home games this season. Four are at Wellington’s TSB Arena and two at Porirua’s Te Rauparaha Arena. The competition’s 15 rounds are followed by a two-match finals series. An elimination final follows, with the grand final on 22 July.
